Wu-Wo Tea Ceremony, a style of tea ceremony that allows many participants to brew and serve tea together, originated in Taiwan in 1990. Wu-Wo (無我) translates to “void of self” or “selfless,” an idea that the ceremony embodies. “Wu-Wo” means to empty the mind, to be without physical or mental attachments, and to let go of our knowledge, wealth, and appearance. Join us for an introduction to the 7 principles of the Wu-Wo Ceremony, a discussion of the teaware and equipment needed to participate, and then take part in a guided Wu-Wo tea ceremony!
